 lost starship from the past

shines into the future

"The USS North Carolina was facing horrible odds",
says her Captain, Commander Rob Webb.  "We were just minding our own business mapping an M-class planet, one believed suitable for a starbase and BOOM...!  Suddenly there was a massive demon looming in front of our starship. We tried to steer out of its wake, but we got pulled into the black hole, which was created by this monstrosity... and off we went. That was the year 2233. We've learned that the ship was the Narada...

THIS IS AN EXAMPLE WEBSITE TAKEN FROM A STAR TREK FANCLUB THAT DIDN'T HANDLE THEIR FINANCES CORRECTLY AND FAILED TO PAY THEIR GRAPHICS AND WEB DEVELOPMENT BILL. IT'S A SHAME BECAUSE THEY SEEMED LIKE REALLY NICE PEOPLE AND STOOD FOR SOME GOOD THNGS. NONE THE LESS, IT IS A NICE SCI-FI WEBSITE DESIGN THAT FALLS IN THE $1,500-$1,800 PRICE RANGE- Darren R. WELCOME ABOARD our fine ship!!
We thrive for peace and serve mainly in the area of disaster relief! Does anyone remember in ST:XI when Pike was talking to Jim and asked, "You always felt like you were destined for other things and never fit in anywhere"? Well, that's me. As a child, I always wanted to help people in need, but didn't have the ability to do so.

If you would, cast your thoughts back to some of Americas most devastating hurricanes; Ivan, Hugo, Andrew, Katrina... These disasters left so much human suffering in their wake and relief supplies did not come fast enough. What was more surprising was how life elsewhere continued as though nothing had happened. The question arose from deep inside, 'What can I do that hasn't been done already?'

When the tornado hit Greensburg, KS back in May of 2007and leveled the town, this was enough. Something had to be done, so I came up with a plan. Someday, I would start a full scale disaster relief program; A unit that could be activated at a moment's notice. By maintaining a storehouse of supplies, the necessary items for survival could be shipped as soon as conditions in the stricken area allowed. This is who I am and what drives me as, both a person, and a Federation officer who is in command of this ship! Our goal as a chapter is to raise the funds to purchase vehicles for transporting goods to disaster stricken areas. This is not limited to hurricanes and tornadoes, but any natural or man-made disasters.

Before I accidently stumbled across the Federation, for years I had always wondered in the back of my mind... "with all the Trekkies, Trekkers, and Trekologists, and with the ideals of Gene Roddenberry's dream floating through the fans for all these years, why hadn't anybody tried to bring this thing to life?" The day I found the Federation changed my life! This was exactly what I was trying to do. Like many people who have lost everything, including hope and the will to survive, I was teetering on the brink of destruction. The Federation dared to "LIVE THE DREAM" and that was what made Roddenberry's Star Trek ideals real to me for most of my life! In a sense, it saved me. The least I can do now is return the favor to others. Sometimes... all someone needs is a little bit of hope and kindness in such a cruel world. I looked at a lot of the chapter's websites and I saw that same kindness... I saw strength and determination. I wanted to be a part of that!!! For once in my life, I am right where I am supposed to be.

Are You... "LIVING THE DREAM!"
